Using old redeployed PCs as thin clients is a great move, as previously mentioned, but it does have issues, namely:
- They look bad
- They make noise
- They generate heat
This guy solves these issues by focusing on the cheapest and smallest PC that I’ve seen: the Raspberry Pi. The idea is great but the application itself is brilliant. An hour or work and the results? A Windows 7 VM streaming 1080p video to an HD projector, controlled by a wireless keyboard and mouse.
No thin client on the market is smaller than this little computer. Just imagine a lab full of them…
